The South Yorkshire Community Foundation have been celebrating after they were short-listed in not one, not two, not three, but four categories of the Third Sector magazine's national Excellence Awards.
The
foundation received nominations in recognition of its administration of
the South Yorkshire Flood Disaster Relief Fund.
This was the worst
disaster to hit South Yorkshire in living memory, and in its wake the relief fund
raised and distributed £1.6 million in just over 15 months.
Chief executive of the SYCF,
Pauline Grice, said "It is fantastic news that the innovative work
done by the third sector in South Yorkshire has been recognised
nationally."
