FROM A RYAN NOV 5th The Walnut Club
A scenic 15 minute drive from Sheffield will find you in the beautiful Peak District village of Hathersage. As well as walks, lovely scenery and a great open-air swimming pool, this village now boasts a contemporary restaurant worthy of any city centre.
The Walnut Club, opened in 2005, opens 7 days a week from noon – 11pm serving beautifully presented, locally sourced, organic food prepared by Michelin star-winning head chef Nick Wilson. You will also find a wide selection of drinks including an impressive wine list. It aims to cater to many different audiences with differing daytime and evening menus, lunch time and evening “Early Bird” menus, organic Sunday Lunch and a thoughtful children’s menu.
The décor, in brown and white, is sophisticated but comfortable; an excellent environment in which to relax and enjoy the Jazz and croon-style entertainment laid on Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays. They have a “no rush” policy where the table is yours for the night, enabling you to relax and enjoy the entertainment.
Tables are well spaced out in a light and airy room. The size and layout of the establishment makes it ideal for dinner with a group
