Sheffield residents to become TV stars

Posted on Tuesday, 07 October 2008 11:09AM by Editor
Residents of Sheffield's Park Hill area are being invited to participate in a new BBC series focusing on the history of heritage and architecture in 20th century Britain.

Producers are looking to speak to anyone who has lived in the 1950's complex in Sheffield which is currently being renovated by Urban Splash.

The series will be presented by Tom Dyckhoff and will air next year, and will examine the history and future of Park Hill, which is noteworthy as one of the most iconic post-war structures in the country.

BBC researcher Nico Wasserman said "we want to hear from as many people as possible, whether they were some of the first residents to move in during the 60s or had relatives who lived on the estate. Whatever the link, we want people to get in touch and share their experiences with us."

If you wish to get in touch regarding the show you can contact Nico on nico.wasserman@bbc.co.uk or call 0208 008 3220.
