From schooldays to the present day he has never tired of creating images, originally for his own amusement and now for the pleasure of his delighted clients. Cris Haigh Photography was officially founded in 1975, though the dream started well before that year.

After receiving very many awards for wedding and portrait photography Cris's enthusiasm is undiminished. One recently achieved milestone was being awarded 'Social Photographer of the Year 2000' by the Yorkshire region of the British Institute of Professional Photographers.

As styles in photography have changed over the decades Cris has always risen to the demands asked by today's ever critical clientele. Most clients are not wanting the stuffy, formal wedding photographs of earlier times, but are wanting a much more relaxed and fun coverage of a very special day. Cris is in his element! He will only photograph one wedding a day and usually has bookings up to 2 years in advanced. So don't hesitate!

Portraits are now reflecting the true personality of children when photographed in a casual, playful manner. Families have less and less time together in these hectic days, so the portraits try to reflect the treasured moments of when they can be. Glamorous portraits show the beauty that lies within all subjects.

Cris's relaxed attitude and quick ways of working help achieve a much more natural look as I'm sure you appreciate by visiting the galleries on this web-site. Please remember though that the images have been reduced in quality to allow for faster viewing.

Please contact Cris by telephone, e-mail, or by using the wedding enquiry form on this web-site under 'Contact Cris Haigh'. As the business is run from home off the busy Ecclesall Road, please be sure to make an appointment before visiting.
