The face of Andrew Gosden, aged 15, is to be featured on a supermarket's milk cartons. Andrew ran away from his home on the 14th of September 2007. He withdrew £200 from his bank account and took a train to London, and since then there has been no reported sightings of him. A local Iceland supermarket will feature his face on their cartons in the hope that someone will recognise him. His family held a service one year after his disappearance in London in what they described as a "final big push" to locate him.
The "Missing People" charity is helping to organise the milk campaign. Andrew's mother, Glenys Gosden "Missing People has been
hugely important to us at a time when we feel that we are living in
limbo.
The appeal for Andrew on Iceland's milk cartons is another welcome symbol of hope."
Iceland have announced that they will feature a different appeal each week. Chief executive Malcom Walker commented "We have been
involved with Missing People before and hope to generate thousands of
new sightings which might just change someone's life."
The concept of missing people on milk cartoons is not new for the store, between 1997 and 2006 Iceland appealed regarding the whereabouts of 130 people on milk cartoons, 40 of which were later found.
