Helpful Hints When Moving Property In Sheffield
HELPFUL HINTS WHEN MOVING PROPERTY IN SHEFFIELD
Whether
you are buying a property in Sheffield or renting a property in
Sheffield, here are a few handy hints to ease you out of the old and
into the new:
THE COUNTDOWN TO YOUR SHEFFIELD MOVE
1.
Once you have decided on a moving date, get quotes from removal firms
or look into the cost of hiring a van if you want to do the hard work
yourself..
2.
Make a list of all the utility firms and their phone numbers, then
contact and advise them of your intention to move, the date you have in
mind, and ask what you need to do. Be sure and tell them of your new
address.
3.
Contact the insurers of your current home and car to discuss
transferring your cover to the new address and then shop around for
alternative quotes.
4.
Ask around shops for strong boxes in various sizes and make a start on
packing away anything that you do not use very often. Write on the
outside of the box what it contains and which room in the new house it
should go to. Alternatively, buy some brightly coloured stickers and
colour co-ordinate your boxes – yellow for the kitchen, etc. A bright
red sticker could be for boxes with breakables!
