Excellent report for local school

Inspectors have praised Curbar Primary School and given the school an excellent report. The children were found to be achieving exceptionally high academic standards year after year.

One parent told the inspectors "This is a happy school with happy children who work hard, have fun and achieve excellent all-round results."

The quality of education was rated as excellent, with pupils finding their lessons interesting and enjoyable. Teaching and learning were of the highest quality, with the children given challenging tasks suitable for all levels of attainment.

The pupils were progressing very well and achieved exceptionally high standards in English, mathematics and science while their attainment in other subjects was also high.
