The first Celebrating Construction in Sheffield night at the City Hall saw
more than 300 developers, builders, engineers, surveyors and architects
gather hoping their work would be recognised
When CIOB chair Greg Boyd asked guests to donate to the Cancer Appeal charity to help aid Sheffield's Weston Park Hospital the builders present were only too happy to oblige.
Once all of the donations had been taken at the event that was organised by the Chartered Institute of Building it was revealed that more than £1,600 had been raised for the charity by the assembled guests.
