Two major collisions took place within 10 minutes of one another resulting in major delays on the M1 just outside of Sheffield this morning.
The first incident occured at around 1:25AM and a lorry and a car collided on the northbound stretch between junctions 30 at Barlborough and 31 at Aughton.
This was followed at 7:10AM by a Vauxhall Tigra which collided with the central reservation on the northbound stretch between junctions 32 at Thurcroft and 33 at Catcliffe.
More traffic chaos was caused throughout parts of Sheffield when a power cut caused traffic lights on City Road, Manor Top to fail.
And this was not the end, tram services were affected in Gleadless at 7:00PM when a tram and car collided on White Lane.
